This 8-day Nile Cruise was exactly what I needed after a hectic year at work. Everything was perfectly organized, flights, transfers, hotels, and the cruise itself. The best part for me was the relaxing days sailing the Nile. Watching temples, palm trees, and small villages drift by was pure peace. I felt completely rested and recharged. Visiting the Pyramids and Luxor was an unforgettable experience. Also worth seeing was the site of the ancient Lighthouse, one of the seven ancient wonders. Highly recommended!
The Nile cruise was one of our family’s best trips. Everyone loved it. We really enjoyed relaxing while sailing along the river. The kids were fascinated by the Pyramids, always discovering something new and exciting along the way. Our favorite stop was the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, so impressive and elegant. The October weather was perfect, with warm days and cool evenings. We bought loads of souvenirs from local vendors, including papyrus paintings and handmade jewelry. The staff on board were kind and patient, and the mix of culture, comfort, and family time made this trip unforgettable for all of us. Excellent value for money! Recommend it!

What makes the Nile so special?
- The Nile River is the longest river in the world. It is slightly longer than the Amazon, depending on how the rivers are measured.
- There are crocodiles in the Nile, especially in southern Egypt and Sudan, some can grow over 5 meters long!
- The Nile also has many islands. In Egypt, you can visit Elephantine Island in Aswan or Gezira Island in Cairo.
- For ancient Egyptians, the Nile was a lifeline. Without it, Egypt would be a desert. Each year, the river flooded and brought rich soil. This made farming and life possible along the riverbanks.
- Thousands of years ago, the Nile was also home to hippos, as shown in ancient Egyptian art. They disappeared from Egypt long ago.
- The Nile also played an important role in ancient religion. Egyptians believed the god Hapi controlled the river’s floods. They saw him as the source of fertility, growth, and abundance.
GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
- Egypt uses the Egyptian pound (EGP). It’s handy to have small bills for tips and local purchases.
- Tipping: It’s customary to tip your guide, crew, and drivers. Many cruises collect a group tip at the end.
- When visiting temples and mosques, modest clothing is recommended.
Meeting Point
Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, meet your representative holding a sign with your name. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.
